Glasgow Club Bellahouston Pool Refurbishment Works

The swimming pool at Glasgow Club Bellahouston opened in 2001. Since then, it has become a popular pool for public and club swimming, and for delivering our Learn to Swim programme.

As with any pool, scheduled investment is required to deliver a more comfortable environment for swimmers and support the long-term provision of well-maintained leisure centres across the city.

Essential maintenance work is planned for Glasgow Club Bellahouston, which will include the refurbishment of the poolside plant and pool filtration system, decommissioning of the external pool, introduction of entrance gates, and a refresh of the changing village and toilets.

This sizeable programme of renovations is estimated to take one year to complete. Work is due to start on site Monday 19 August with the pool due to close from 2 September 2024. It is expected to reopen in August 2025. No other facilities offered at Glasgow Club Bellahouston will be affected.

By carrying out this maintenance, we will upgrade equipment and ensure Bellahouston swimming pool continues to serve the local community for years to come.

We understand the importance of accessing your local Glasgow Club, and that this closure may cause some inconvenience. Please remember, your Glasgow Club membership allows you to use any other Glasgow Club pool in the city. You can find a full list of venues here.

Located in the South West, just off the M8, Glasgow Club Bellahouston boasts a superb gym, filled with the latest fitness equipment. There’s also fully equipped pool to help you relax after classes. Please check with venue directly for up to date information about opening times.
