Coffee Cadenzas is a community concert series by Kickstart Opera, inviting musicians from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland to share their music with the local community surrounded by artwork and of course...a cup of coffee! The aim is to provide accessibility to a variety of genres of music, support cultural hubs in the community and provide professional opportunity for emerging artists.
Join us at The Burrell Collection this June and July for the Summer programme. Starting at 10:30am, enjoy a short Collection talk followed by a live musical performance (1 hr 30m including interval).
Coffees and other drinks and snacks will be available to purchase in our Benugo restaurant.

About the performers:
Rhionna Inwood and Roisin Linehan are both graduating students from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and, together, form an up and coming classical music soprano and pianist duo.
Dutch mezzo-soprano Hanna de Bruin has graduated with a Master of Music Vocal Performance (2023) from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS) under the tutelage of Scott Johnson. She obtained her Bachelor of Music (2020) at the Fontys Academy of Music and Performing Arts (NL) where she studied with Sinan Vural and Margriet van Reisen. Currently, she is receiving coaching from Helen Lawson and Jard van Nes.
Aberdeenshire born soprano Ellie Donald, graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2022 where she studied with Linda Ormiston and Wilma MacDougall. Her interest in musics role for our development and within society led her progress onto the new masters program, “Music Psychology in the Arts” at the RCS. Her passion for performing took off in her teenage years when she was accepted into the Aberdeen City Music School. Here, she performed in many recitals and outreach projects with schools in and around the city.
Mark Wigglesworth is studying towards a Masters in Repetiteurship at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Originally from New Zealand, Mark has worked with a wide range of singers,instrumentalists, ensembles, and choirs. This has included working in opera and musical theatre as a repetiteur, conductor, musical director, and accompanist. Mark has worked as an accompanist, choral director, and organist; he also arranges choral music, waiata (Māori song), and pop-meets classical chamber music. He is particularly passionate about New Zealand music, and has worked with living composers on chamber music, vocal music, and opera/musical theatre.
