Kay Morrison, incoming CEO of Glasgow Life.

Dear colleagues

I’m delighted to let you know that later this morning (Friday 11 April), we will publicly announce the appointment of Kay Morrison as Glasgow Life’s new Chief Executive.

An accomplished leader, Kay brings a track record of strategic vision, partnership development and more than 20 years’ experience working across Scotland’s culture and leisure sector.

Kay will join our charity on Monday 7 July from her role as Chief Executive of South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture, where she has led the successful transformation of the organisation over the past three years.

Previously, she was Chief Executive of Falkirk Foundation, the official charity partner of Falkirk Football Club, working to improve the health and wellbeing of local
communities through physical activity and education programmes.

A passionate advocate for inclusion and reducing inequalities, Kay is known for her commitment to enhancing community wellbeing through the power of culture and sport as well as her contribution to developing national policy and direction for the sector.

She has a deep understanding of the vital role our charity plays across Glasgow’s communities, and her experience, knowledge and networks make her the ideal
person to lead Glasgow Life into a new chapter as we look ahead to a positive and ambitious future helping more people lead richer, healthier, and happier lives.

I know Kay is very much looking forward to working with colleagues across the
organisation, as well as with our key partners and stakeholders, to ensure our
charity remains a force for good at the heart of a thriving, inclusive, accessible, and resilient Glasgow.

I’m sure you will join me in congratulating Kay and offer her your every support when she starts with us. In the meantime, this information will be shared on Glasgow Life’s website, Linkedin channel and with the media at 10am today.

Best regards

Susan
