Glasgow Life's Community Assets team is working with local organisations to bring more health and wellbeing programmes to communities.

Glasgow Life colleagues Stuart Waddleton, Alan Mackin and Alison McLean recently supported the School of Hard Knocks and NG Homes to deliver a transformative Mind and Body Fitness course at Barmulloch Community Centre.

The course is aimed at empowering individuals to reach their full potential, focussing on building confidence and practical skills for job applications and interviews - integrating physical activity and mental fitness to promote a balanced approach to personal development.

Course participant Anthony said: "The sessions on mindset strategies have been incredible, it's really helped me shift my thinking and approach challenges with more confidence." Due to the renewed self-confidence Anthony gained from the course he has now signed up for a 10km run.

Course participant Usif said: "The support in creating my CV and preparing for job interviews has been fantastic. I feel much more equipped to take on the job market."

Roisin Murray, Programme Manager for School of Hard Knocks said:

"We were lucky to have a wonderful venue in Barmulloch Community Centre. The location was ideal for our participants and the staff team could not have been more accommodating and welcoming."
