Christmas lights switch-on to kickstart festive celebrations in Glasgow

Glasgow Loves Christmas will host the much-loved Christmas Lights Switch-On celebration on Sunday 17 November, marking the start of the city’s 2024 festive celebrations.

A ballot for free tickets to the hugely popular event opens at 10.00am tomorrow, Wednesday 2 October and closes at 11.59pm on Sunday 6 October.

This year’s event, hosted by Clyde 1 presenters George Bowie and Cassi Gillespie, will include live music and an appearance by performers from this year’s Pavilion Theatre pantomime, Beauty and the Beastie.
