Doors Open at Couper Institute

As part of the Doors Open event in September, the Couper Institute welcomed the community for guided tours of the building, led by enthusiastic and knowledgeable Glasgow Life colleagues Christine, Nicola and Jim.

The tours, organised by Cathcart District Community Council, not only highlighted the architectural beauty of the Couper Institute but also celebrated its important place within the local community.

Attendees shared heartfelt memories of their experiences at the Institute, recalling dancing classes and performances that once filled its halls.

The event provided a welcome opportunity for residents to reconnect with a cherished landmark, reinforcing the Couper Institute's role as a hub of cultural and historical significance in the community.
