Freedom of Information - please complete the mandatory GOLD courses

Banner with graphic of a checklist, arrows and speech bubbles with text Colleague update

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 ("FOI") and the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 ("EIR") enables any person to obtain information from Scottish public authorities. This legal right of access includes all types of 'recorded' information held by Scottish public authorities. Any person who makes a request for information must be provided with it, subject to certain conditions.

Glasgow Life is covered by this legislation so it is important that all colleagues are aware of our responsibilities and complete the mandatory GOLD courses Introduction to Freedom of Information and EIR and Freedom of Information Act.

Find out how to access GOLD from work or home on the Learning and Development pages of the intranet.
