Glasgow Club celebrates a quarter century of inspiring a love for fitness and health in the city
This Valentine's Day, we've been celebrating the 25th anniversary of Glasgow Club - and the incredible impact it has made over a quarter of a century to inspire a love for fitness in the city, making such a difference to improve the physical health, mental wellbeing and social connection of thousands of people in our local communities.
Glasgow Club members who enjoy the opportunities offered by our citywide network of gyms, fitness studios, courts, and pools - and benefit from the guidance and support of our brilliant team of colleagues - value all that Glasgow Club offers. Our flexible memberships are designed to be inclusive and affordable. And with the standard monthly option costing £31, just £1 more than in 2000, we're proud that Glasgow Club offers such great value. Glasgow Club is the only not-for-profit health club in the city, so all the funds it makes are re-invested in the excellent services and facilities we offer to benefit the people of Glasgow.
Membership has more than trebled since Glasgow Club's earliest days when around 150 weekly classes were held in Glasgow City Council sport venues. We now have 36,000 direct debit members taking advantage of an extensive, varied programme of over 1,000 classes a week that are designed to suit everyone all ages and abilities, from beginners to experienced gym goers, with specialist classes too that are tailored for people with additional needs or health conditions.
Thanks to the commitment and enthusiasm of our wonderful team across all of our venues, who make such a difference to benefit the lives of people in our city, Glasgow Club has become a much-loved city asset.
