Jane Rowlands appointed Head of Museums and Collections for Glasgow Life
Jane Rowlands has been appointed the Head of Museums and Collections for Glasgow Life.
Jane has been acting Head of Museums and Collections since August and has worked for Glasgow's museums for more than 20 years.
The appointment comes after an extensive recruitment and interview process, following the retirement of Duncan Dornan.
Jane has been involved in the delivery of successful projects and programmes including the refurbishment of Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Phase Two of the Glasgow Museum Resource Centre, the Riverside Museum project, the reimagining of Kelvin Hall and The Burrell Collection.
Jane is currently leading the museums work for the refurbishment of the People's Palace and Winter Gardens.
She has held positions since working across Collections and Conservation Management, several research projects, and has been a Senior Museums Manager since 2011, supporting previous Heads of Museums and Collections at Glasgow Life.
