Glasgow Life Libraries are celebrating Book Week Scotland (18 to 24 November) with another interesting and varied programme of free, but ticketed, events, including:
Scottish author Douglas Bruton will be at Maryhill Library on Monday 18 November to discuss his new novel Hope Never Knew Horizon, a beautifully written work of historical fiction, which explores three interwoven stories of hope in 19th century London.
Scottish author Rab Wilson comes to the Mitchell Library on Tuesday 19 November to discuss his book Collier Laddie which, forty years on from the 1984-1985 Miners' Strike, provides a powerful ode to resilience, solidarity and the enduring legacy of those who fought for justice during a pivotal moment in industrial history.
Govan-born, Caro Ramsay discusses her latest novel Out of the Dark, the third in the DCI Christine Caplan series at the Couper Institute on Wednesday 20 November.
Scottish author Martin Stewart comes to Riddrie Library on Saturday 23 November to share his new book Bridget Vanderpuff and the Monster Mountain Mystery, the latest in Martin's madcap, hilarious series about Bridget Vanderpuff, whipsmart inventor and amateur sleuth with a taste for adventure.
Mel Young will be discussing his book Home Game: The True Story of the Homeless World Cup at the Mitchell Library on Saturday 23 November.
