New course - Induction to Glasgow Life for Managers
We are delighted to launch our new 'Induction to Glasgow Life for Managers' GOLD course. This resource has been designed to equip new managers and supervisors with the knowledge and resources they need to help them succeed in their new roles. This new resource builds on the content of our existing 'Induction to Glasgow Life' so new managers and supervisors should complete this first.
This new resource is a mandatory piece of learning for all new managers and supervisors and is designed as a programme rather than a course. Therefore it should be completed in modules rather than in one go and over the first 12 weeks of employment.
All existing managers and supervisors are also encouraged to complete this programme over the next 12 weeks as this will allow you to support new managers and supervisors starting with Glasgow Life and ensure you have a consistent level of knowledge and awareness of the resources available.
This programme can be found on our GOLD e-learning platform by clicking the 'Your ALEO or Service' icon and then 'Glasgow Life'.
REMINDER: Onsite Induction Checklist for New Colleagues
Managers of all new colleagues are reminded that you also need to complete the 'Onsite Induction Checklist for New Colleagues'. You can find this mandatory checklist and guidance notes for managers on the intranet. Once complete, managers should scan and email the checklist to CBS at cbstrainingandeventsadmin@fs.glasgow.gov.uk who will record it on the employee's SAP training record. Managers should also store the original locally in the employee's training file.
