Glasgow Life's Pathway Programme for self-development is aimed at colleagues who are not currently in a supervisory role. You can find information about the programme on the Learning and Development pages of the intranet or by speaking to your line manager.

Our next Pathway Programme will start in April and will consist of five half-day training events over five months. The content is geared to support you in your current role as well as with your future aspirations.

The application process is now open and will close on Monday 18 March 2024, so if you're interested in joining please complete the application form available on the intranet. You should not apply for the programme without first discussing it with your line manager.

Here is some feedback from previous and current course participants:

  • "The pathway programme has helped me a lot and I have been able to take on board what I have learned from the programme which I'm really enjoying. I have just learned that I've been successful in my recent application for a supervisor position and am excited about my future learning journey with Glasgow Life."
  • "Learning the art of coaching conversations has equipped me with invaluable skills for supporting and developing others. I now approach discussions with a coaching mindset, focusing on listening, empathy, and empowerment. This workshop provided practical techniques for guiding meaningful conversations that lead to growth and problem-solving. It's not just about giving advice but empowering individuals to find their own solutions."
