People's Palace launches 'last chance to see' campaign, before closing for major refurbishment

Everyone is being encouraged to visit the People's Palace before it closes its doors for the last time on Sunday 14 April, ahead of a major refurbishment.
This will allow the next stage of a transformational project to completely reimagine and restore the museum and Winter Gardens glasshouse to progress.
A 'Last chance to see' campaign, urging locals and visitors to the city, to make time to see the many treasures on display for a final time has been launched.
Once closed, the vision to restore the People's Palace and Winter Gardens as a vibrant museum and thriving community space will begin in earnest, with the 'new' space due to open in 2027. You can read more in our media centre here.
