The Burrell Collection to host LGBT+ Histories tours during LGBT+ History Month

To mark LGBT+ History Month in February, The Burrell Collection will run extra free LGBT+ Histories tours.
The Burrell's LGBT+ Histories tours take visitors on a journey through its galleries to uncover hidden LGBT+ histories from the collection.
The tours delve into the history, context and meaning behind some of The Burrell's most popular objects, examining how representations of LGBT+ culture have always existed within art and history.
These tours are free, booking is not required. Meet at the tour meeting point screen next to reception. More information is available on our webpage.
The UK LGBT+ History Month is dedicated to celebrating the rich and diverse history of LGBT+ people.
The awareness month was founded by Schools OUT, an education charity which believes every LGBT+ person should feel safe, seen and thrive in education and beyond.
The theme of this year's LGBT+ History Month is Activism and Social Change. Throughout February, Schools OUT will highlight five LGBT+ historical figures and UK LGBT+ people past and present in line with this theme across its social media channels. The charity also shares LGBT+ history from around the world every day on Instagram.
