Walking Football Glasgow Cup 2024

Over 500 players have taken part in our annual Walking Football Glasgow Cup events at Toryglen Regional Football Centre so far this month.

The Men's O65's kicked off the summer series on Monday 8 July with 16 teams competing. A weekend of activity followed with 12 teams in the Women's O40's on Saturday 13 July and 24 teams at the Men's O50's on Sunday 14 July.

We were delighted to welcome teams from England including Benfield (Newcastle), St Joseph's (Workington) and the Winstanley Walkers from Wigan, who became champions in the Men's O50's category.

We congratulate the following winners:

  • Men's O50's - Winstanley Walkers
  • Men's O65's - Alloa Athletic and Annan Athletic (Challenge Cup)
  • Women's O40's - Braehead FC

We now look forward to the Men's O60's event on Monday 22 July and will conclude with the Men's O70's event on Friday 9 August which will bring the total to over 800 players, aged between 40 and 80, taking part in our highly successful Walking Football events this summer.
