Heritage Artists in Communities

As part of Uncovering Sauchiehall Street, two sets of artists were commissioned to work with community groups and individuals. Their projects celebrate and highlight the stories and memories of local people, visitors and community members through creative activity.

Alice Brown and Ellie Mills

Alice and Ellie's project Soft City invited women, young people, older Glaswegians and new scots into the conversation about the retail and social heritage of Sauchiehall Street, and using feminist city thinking think about the street's future.

Craig and Molly will collaborate with individuals and groups deeply connected to Sauchiehall Street to unpack feelings, memories and new visions for the street, working towards a 24-hour durational artwork.
