Evening Times Roll of Honour
During the First World War, the Evening Times newspaper printed short biographies of service personnel from Glasgow and surrounding areas, who were reported missing, wounded or killed, often as an appeal from their families for further information. Entries usually include regiment, address, family names, occupation and often a photograph. This photograph may be the only one that exists of the person at that time.
The staff of Special Collections have indexed the Roll of Honour and the following are now available to view online. Please do not redistribute or republish these lists without our permission. For printing purposes, please note that some of these lists are very long.
