Join the People's Palace Youth Panel

Working alongside staff from Glasgow Life Museums, the Youth Panel will help ensure the voices of young people are heard and represented in the People’s Palace.

You’ll be able to get involved in different activities as the project progresses – this might include things like advising staff on how the People’s Palace can be more inclusive for young people and working with curators to help create exhibition story displays.

To join the People’s Palace Youth Panel, you need to be:

• Aged 18-26 years old
• Living in Glasgow
• Available to attend four Youth Panel meetings between May and November 2025. Meetings will usually be on Tuesday evenings from 6-8pm at Kelvin Hall.
• Excited to share your views and ideas and listen to those of others
• Able to work well in a team
• Interested in Glasgow’s social history.

• £26 in Scotland Loves Local vouchers for each 2-hour meeting you attend. 
• Travel expenses to attend meetings if you don’t have a bus pass
• Refreshments at meetings
• Develop new skills and strengthen your existing ones
• Meet other young people in Glasgow and staff working on the People’s Palace project
• The opportunity to help shape the future of one of Glasgow’s best-loved museums
• Access support if required, such as interpreters or accessible transport.

If shortlisted, you will be invited to a short and informal interview in mid-May 2025. 

The first Youth Panel meeting will take place on Tuesday 27th May 2025 at 6-8pm.
