About the Couper Institute

The Couper Institute is a ‘B’ listed building situated on the Southside of Glasgow. It was designed by internationally renowned architect James Sellers and built under the auspices of Robert Couper in 1887.

Couper Institute is a perfect venue for meetings and small conferences, classes and clubs, fairs and exhibitions, rehearsals and concerts - all at very competitive rates. It is also a very popular venue for parties, dances and weddings, with special packages available.

Opening hours are flexible to suit your needs and there are experienced staff on hand to assist with any special requirements.

The Couper Institute can be used for a variety of Community, Social and Commercial activities such as Community Meetings, Dance Classes, Shows / Performances, Fitness Classes and Private Functions upon request.

Available for bookings Monday to Thursday, and Saturdays..

Minimum let duration is 1 hour. Lets for part of an hour will be charged at the hourly rate.

On request bookings can be made for out with our advertised opening hours, additional charges will apply and are dependent on availability.

The Couper Institute has a number of rooms available for hire, capacities vary please enquire for more detail.
