GlasGowGreener July update

Welcome to this July update on GlasGowGreener – our sustainability campaign which aims to help us all play our part in supporting Glasgow Life’s climate actions.

Before we tell you about this month’s challenge, many thanks to everyone who has completed our GlasGowGreener challenges so far! To recap, we’ve asked you to:

  • Nominate sustainability representatives for your venue or service area team
  • Encourage biodiversity by planting wildflower seeds
  • Join the re-use and recycling network by creating a Warpit account

If you haven’t yet completed all these challenges, don’t worry; there’s still time. Just visit the newly launched Glasgow Life intranet for more details of how to get involved. And if you’re not able to access our intranet, you can find information on all the challenges in our previous GlasGowGreener updates which are available on the Colleague Information section of the Glasgow Life website. 

So – on to this month’s GlasGowGreener challenge!

This one is for all the quizzers out there. We’re asking you to answer 10 simple questions around the theme of sustainability. All you need to do, by Monday 31 July, is complete our quiz online at: https://surveys.glasgowlife.org.uk/s/GlasgowGreenerJulyChallenge/. OR you can email your answers to sustainability@glasgowlife.org.uk.

Big hint: you might find some of the quiz answers in the Glasgow Life Sustainability intranet pages, so please take time to browse through these.

Don’t forget to make sure you let us know which Sustainability team you’re competing for – and you can check whether one has already been set up for your venue or service team here.

No Sustainability team? No problem! This is your chance to get your colleagues together to make a difference and boost the positive impact you can make both individually and collectively. Just nominate a team representative and sustainability champion(s), complete the details in the table below and return this to sustainability@glasgowlife.org.uk. Then complete our quiz by the deadline noted above.
