This Book Week Scotland (18th- 24th November) join Glasgow Libraries for our citywide packed programme of inspiring, interesting and entertaining bookish events for people of all ages.

Langside Library are delighted to host Battlefield Writers as they launch their latest book Tales from the Southside.

Over thirty writers have contributed short stories, poetry and flash fiction to this anthology, each reflecting life in Glasgow’s southside. Hear readings by a selection of writers and discover how you might become involved in future projects.

This is a free event and is open to everyone. Just turn up on the night

Designed by Glasgow School of Art Students in the 1920’s, the twenty-one foot by seven foot mural for Langside Library was entitled ‘Queen Mary at the Battle of Langside’ and was official handed over to the Corporation of the City of Glasgow on the 6th January 1920.
