Glasgow Libraries are delighted to announce an out of this world collaboration! This summer we are working with Glasgow 2024: A Worldcon for Our Futures to offer sci-fi tastic book collections and events in libraries across Glasgow.

As part of our Worldcon library events programme, we are delighted to welcome Dr Russell Jones to Woodside Library. Join Russell for a free science fiction short story workshop where you will create exciting science fiction concepts and begin writing a sci-fi short story. This interactive creative writing workshop will cover character, world-building and plot, with writing tips from an experienced editor and published sci-fi author.

Dr Russell Jones has published four novels, six poetry collections, one graphic novel and hundreds of short stories and poems. He has edited three successful writing anthologies, was deputy editor of Scotland's only science fiction magazine (2015-2023) and has a PhD in Creative Writing.

To book your free place please email: woodside.lil@glasgowlife.org.uk or phone Woodside Library: 0141 276 1609
