Glasgow Life & Clyde Gateway are hosting 4 bespoke talks about Bridgeton Local Heroes, Local Historians Perter Mortimer & Raymond Thompson will be discussing Military Heroes, Musical Heroes, Sporting Heroes and Industrial Heroes who have all came from the Bridgeton area.

 

This is a fantastic chance to hear the rich and amazing history of Bridgeton like never before.

 

Hear about Henry May VC and the Battle of Loos & other WW1 VCs

Musicians Lonnie Donegan and Frederic Lamond

Boxers Benny Lynch and James Watt;

The industries of: Beardmore and Templeton

 

The events will run over 4 consecutive Tuesdays.
