Join us on Sunday 6th August at Cowlairs Labyrinth to celebrate nature, creativity and community at our first Cowlairs Festival.

Our event will take place from 12pm and we will have a range of activities and performances to keep you entertained including storytelling, glitter tattoos, live music and led walks around the park.

From 2pm we will parade around the park stopping along the way to enjoy performances from local young people about the history and magic of the park. The procession will be accompanied by a brass band and a wonderful fiddle player filling the space with energy and fun.

Afterwards we will refuel and connect at our community meal in Possilpark Parish Church.

Margaret and Saffy are the Artists in Communities that have been supporting the Sharing Cowlairs project to work as a community over the last couple of years to explore creative responses to the 'derelict' land at Cowlairs. They have co-created a labyrinth and garden with the community in the land, as well as performances and arts workshops etc.

Cowlairs Park, Possilpark

The event will take part in and around the Labyrinth area. The park is an outdoor space and has no running water or toilet facilities onsite. • Nearest toilet access will be Possilpark Parish Church (0.4 miles)
  • Step-free access to labyrinth by use of a ramp
  • Some surrounding paths are steep or rough
  • Three benches on the site, and we will bring fold up chairs
  • Nearest road access Stonyhurst Street G22 5AX (300 metres from the labyrinth)
  • Limited shelter will be provided
