Join us for the paperback launch of Julie Kennedy's novel 'Ma Mum & William Wordsworth'. A coming of age story, set in Lanarkshire and Glasgow, it focuses on 15 year old Erin, whose life is changed dramatically when her mother falls ill. Erin loves poetry and the works of William Wordsworth sustains her through challenging times. The story is written in the Lanarkshire dialect and has been published with the assistance of Scottish Government Scots Language Publications Grant.
Julie Kennedy is a writer and poet, who has had works published in poetry magazines and was highly commended in the 2022 Ledbury Poetry Competition.

Designed by Glasgow School of Art Students in the 1920’s, the twenty-one foot by seven foot mural for Langside Library was entitled ‘Queen Mary at the Battle of Langside’ and was official handed over to the Corporation of the City of Glasgow on the 6th January 1920.
