Bustling all day and into the wee small hours, Sauchiehall Street is famous for its fine architecture and its shops and nightlife. These days the Gaels gather at the CCA for Ceòl is Craic, but generations of Highlanders have worked and played here before us. Glasgow Life and the Gaelic Books Council invite you to write a Gaelic language Letter to Glasgow about this iconic street. What are your memories? Buying those smart new school shoes, that Hogmanay ceilidh when you missed the last bus home, or just an ordinary day on the way to work? Let us know and you would win a fabulous prize.
Litir gu Glaschu/Letter to Glasgow is an annual competition from Glasgow Life and the Gaelic Books Council.
For the second year we are also opening up Letter to Glasgow to Scots and Ukrainian languages in acknowledgment of the many other languages in the city, old and new. There are also categories dedicated to under-18s.
