What happens when one group of women lose patience with low pay and rising prices, and band together to fight the system?
Amidst the current political climate and consumer backlash, it feels like the right time for a revival of Dario Fo’s hilarious 70s farce, Can’t Pay? Won’t Pay! The classic satire sees one group of women lose patience with low pay and rising prices, and take direct action - and in this new version by comedy genius Johnny McKnight, the action moves to Glasgow and examines where we are now in Scotland.
'We're supposed to be hauling for the good folk of the cooncil estates and whit have you grabbed? Chick peas, refried beans and a tin of green lentils? Who you feeding? Patrick bloody Harvie?’
A new production supported by Creative Scotland
