superstars Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy return to the
world stage for the first time since their marriage in 2000. With three gold
albums to her credit, Natalie is a two-time JUNO Award winner and Order of
Canada inductee. Combined with the the energy and incredible stage presence of
Donnell Leahy - whose leadership earned his acclaimed Celtic family-band,
Leahy, double-platinum status, three JUNO Awards, and an Academy Award - the
duo are one of the most exhilarating in Celtic music.
With careers
that include collaborations with Yo-Yo Ma, Allison Krauss, and The Chieftains,
this powerhouse couple has sold out over 1,000 shows in North America and
remains a must-see act.
Frances
Morton, a
celebrated Glasgow-born flutist with Irish roots, debuts her solo album Sliocht
at Celtic Connections. Accompanied by Eamon McElholm, Ciarán Tourish, and guest
sean-nós singer Doimnic Mac Giolla Bhríde, the concert will feature jigs,
reels, and strathspeys, highlighting the vibrant musical ties between Scotland
and Ireland.
