We are delighted to welcome author and local historian Dr. Stuart Nisbet to Couper Institute Library to discuss his debut novel The Book of Here and There.

For the past 20 years, Stuart has been one of the leading authorities on Glasgow and slavery- publishing non-fiction, giving talks and leading guided walks on the subject. With the publication of his first fiction novel, based on his own personal detective trail from Glasgow to the Caribbean, Stuart creates an entertaining and engaging story which uncovers the dark, hidden story of slavery and the legacy of heartbreak and inhumanity present within the origins of our beloved city.
