This summer Glasgow Libraries are teaming up with the UCI Cycling World Championships to celebrate sport and the city with a series of 10 free city-wide author events and creative writing workshops discussing fiction and non-fiction sporting stories.

As part of this events programme come along to Baillieston Library and join Scotland Stars FC author Danny Scott for a journey into the beautiful game of football. Enjoy a reading from an action-packed extract from one of his books and expect interactive challenges, loads of quizzes and perhaps even a penalty shoot out!

Baillieston Community Hub at James Lindsay Memorial Park.

A new community hub including a library, gym, dance studios and community spaces.

Community Engagement sessions took place in December 2023, January 2024 and September 2024, inviting local people to view the design for the Hub and providing an opportunity to offer comments on the design process and understand the timeline for project.
