Parents and Carers Support Group
We are holding a regular Parent and Carer Support Group on the last Wednesday of every month from 11am-1pm in the Mitchell Library. The group is for parents/carers of children with visual impairments or sight loss to get together and have a chat about their own experiences. At the group you’ll find people that are facing similar circumstances as you.
Braille Classes
Sight Scotland are delivering Braille teaching classes for the visually impaired community and for sighted guides. Launching in June 2024, we will gather every second and fourth Thursday from 1pm-3pm at the Mitchell Library with a trained Braille teacher, and every first and third Thursday at Gorbals Library from 11am-1pm for a group study of Braille.
