Join award-winning singer, Iona Fyfe as she celebrates ten years of live performance, revisiting ballads and folksongs from her childhood in Aberdeenshire in addition to a new programme of repertoire from her upcoming album ‘Ballads’. Joined by Rory Carter (mandolin), Michael Biggins (piano), Charlie Stewart (fiddle/double bass) and Gillie O’ Flaherty (guitar). Two time winner of Scots Singer of the Year, Iona became the first vocalist to win the coveted title of Musician of the Year at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards.
Growing up in Huntly, steeped in the ballad tradition, Iona
left the North East, aged 17 to study Traditional Music at the Royal
Conservatoire of Scotland. A decade has seen her share her regions
folksongs, stories and traditions with audiences all over the world, from
Australia to the US. In 2023, she acted as musical director of Scots Women, a
