Adult Sport and Wellbeing activities

Glasgow Life deliver a range of Adult Sport and Physical Activity sessions.

These are mixed sessions for all abilities to play socially in an inclusive environment.

You will be welcomed by a co-ordinator who will support you to learn new or improve your skills and well-being.

Glasgow Life - Coached Activities

Our fantastic coaches support you to improve your skills at the sport you love.

You can book your classes by following the relevant link and selecting the day and time that suits you. All levels are welcome to attend.

This is a coach-led class offering a syllabus to follow for both beginners and improvers.

You can talk to our coaches about anything you would like to learn that sits outside the syllabus. All abilities are welcome and there are no conditions for entry.

Our class is on a Thursday night from 7:00-8.45pm at Kelvin Hall.

The class is pay-as-you-go and is £11 per session (£8 concession).

You can pay for this on the night. To secure your space follow the link below and submit your enquiry to our gymnastic coordinator.

Adult Gymnastics at Kelvin Hall

We offer a small programme of adult beginner and improver lessons in selected venues. These are delivered in a group environment of between 8 and 12 adults (aged 16yrs+)

These are suitable for beginners who are looking to improve their skills in the water.

To book, please call the venue you wish to attend or drop in and speak to the team at reception. Lessons are available in the following venues:

Glasgow Club Bellahouston (0141 276 0767 - option 3) Wednesday 7-7:40pm Thursday 7:50-8:30pm

Glasgow Club Tollcross (0141 276 8282 - option 5) Friday 7-7:40pm

Glasgow Club Maryhill (0141 276 5300) Friday 7:10-7:40pm

Led by an LTA qualified coach this is a great chance to play and learn at an appropriate level.

Our Bronze classes are to play for the first time in a relaxed atmosphere with other beginners.

Silver sessions are for intermediate level with a chance to improve skills or play for the first time. 

And finally, Gold sessions provide a great environment to increase playing ability with others of a similar standard. There will be a greater focus on technique and tactical aspects of playing matches.

Ladies' beginner sessions take place on Mondays 7-8pm. 

Sessions are coach led by fully qualified coaches.

Glasgow Club squash members can book these for free as part of their membership
and non-members at a rate of £4.

This session offers players of all abilities the opportunity to improve their game during a one hour coaching session. Our coach will focus on skill development followed by one hour of games against those of similar playing abilities.

This activity takes place on a Thursday evening between 8pm - 10pm at Scotstoun Badminton Academy.

The Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome isn’t only for elite athletes. It is available for anyone to take the opportunity to experience track cycling.
