Over 70's Glasgow Cup at Toryglen

It was the turn for the Over 70's to compete in our Walking Football Glasgow Cup at Toryglen on Wednesday 25 October. 12 teams took part, with 120 players taking to the pitch, with Preston North End the furthest travelled.

Well done to our own Drumchapel United team, who reached the semi-final and narrowly lost out on penalties against Ayr United. However, in a tense final, it was North Lanarkshire Council who were victorious, defeating last year's winners Ayr Utd on penalties.

A special thanks to former footballer Dave MacKinnon for giving his time and supporting the event by presenting the winning trophy and medals. Congratulations to all teams for a terrific day, and we look forward to welcoming the teams back next year.
