Glasgow Life Museums are autism friendly

Glasgow Life museums are welcoming places for everyone.

We offer autism-friendly events and activities throughout the year, along with visual storyboards, quiet spaces and other support to help make your visit more comfortable. Our autism ambassadors are available across our museum venues and are here to help you feel welcome and supported.

Whether you're visiting on your own, with family or as part of a group, we want everyone to enjoy their time at our museums. We work hard to make our venues and activities as accessible as possible for adults and children.

We offer specific quiet times, specialised workshops and visual storyboards. Want to know something specific? Email us at museums@glasgowlife.org.uk

Our autism-friendly sessions are designed for autistic people, neurodivergent people, people with sensory or additional support needs, and anyone who would benefit from a quieter, more relaxed environment. Family members, friends and carers are also welcome.

Autism friendly events and activities

All our museums have regular quiet opening times.

Autism-friendly events for adults

These regular events take place at a number of our venues.

Family workshops in a calm environment
